Communicate chaos, disorganization or messiness in a photograph. Find some beauty in it. (@divadeb88)
When I read the word messiness I thought of my table at the end of the day! My new room is small and it doesn't take long for things to pile up. Right now it's mainly paperwork. By the time I leave I make sure that the table is cleared off and ready for a new day. The beauty is the sign; Reading is fun! My goal this year is to get my reluctant readers hooked on books. I've got my work cut out for me.
Photo note I should have changed the aperture so things would have been in focus, oh well.....

Daily Shoot Mess
Daily Shoot Shadows
Hard shadows can emphasize texture and edges. Find a scene with lit with hard shadows today and make a photo.
Septmeber 23 New Classroom
I took a picture of my new classroom for the daily shoot. This is just a different angle.
Daily Shoot Mirror
Use a mirror as part of a composition in a photograph today. Show yourself in the image if you'd like!
I finally got out and did a few miles on my bike after school today. Before I put the bike back in the car I snapped this picture-my favorite bike jersey reflected in my helmet mirror.
Daily Shoot Soft
Make a photograph of something that is soft, or at least looks that way. Convince the viewer of the softness.
I'm a little late on this one but as I left for work today I turned around and came back to take a picture of this grass plant in our neighbor's yard. I didn't get a shot that really shows its beauty and softness.
Daily Shoot Pocket
Some carry a talisman, amulet, "lucky charm", or just a comforting thing in our pocket. What do you carry? (@btusdin)
I carry my phone in my pocket. With both kids in college and aging parents I want to know when they try to get a hold of me. In my back pocket I tend to keep my ipod touch so I can listen to music, podcasts or play a game of bejeweled.
September 18 Thank You
As I was getting ready to leave a flower stand I noticed this lovely Thank You sign by the exit.
Daily Shoot-Complementary Objects
Make a photo of two complementary objects arranged in a pleasing composition, one large and one small.
We went to a village festival in Waterville today. The liquor store was doing wine tastings. I fell in love with chocolate wine! It tastes more like a liqueur than wine.
Daily Shoot-Foilage
Showcase the beauty of living foliage! Make a photo of a single leaf or an entire "greenscape" today. (@DeForestRanger)
The burning bush is really starting to change color this week. This shot show all the variations.

September 15 Spiderweb
Lots of spiderwebs on the bridge this morning. Glad I had the opportunity to stop and marvel at their beauty.
September 14 Daily Shoot Frame
Use a door or window as a framing device to contain a smaller scene today.
I took this from the driver's side window today. Only a little of the door frame is visible in the top right corner. I did stop the car for this shot. :-)
September 13 Daily Shoot Path
Make a photograph of a path, sidewalk, trail, or road today and post it. Lead our eye through the scene.
I took a different way tonight looking for something for today's shoot.

Daily Shoot Scale
Sunday challenge: Play with scale today. Make a photo of something small that looks huge.
We played a little bit with today's assignment but nothing turned out really good. This is the best of the bunch.
Horizontal Lines
Find a strong series of horizontal lines or elements and make a photograph of it today.
A few days late with this assignment but I finally found something that worked well at the car show today.
Daily Shoot Bottle
Plastic or glass, make a photo of a bottle or grouping of bottles today and post it.
I bought this bottle a few weeks ago at the Bouckville antique show. When I was growing up my dad worked for Borden''s delivering ice cream to stores in our area. Ever since I was young I've liked the Elsie logo so I decided to pick up this small bottle. Next summer I'll use it as a vase
September 11 Groundbreaking Shovels
Today I attended a groundbreaking ceremony for Habitat for Humanity as a photographer. The family that will be living in the house used these golden shovels to break the ground. In a few short months I look forward to going back to the dedication ceremony.

September 10 Sunflower
The only shots I took today were a few more of my sunflowers. I'm sure over the next couple of weeks they'll be photographed many times. :-)

Daily Shoot Building
Make a photograph of the front of a building today. Could be your house, the bank, or city hall.
On this drizzly day I just made a quick stop on my ride home to snap this picture.
Many of our towns and villages rely on volunteer firemen. I am thankful for the brave men and women that step up to take on this challenge. Tonight there were quite a few cars here. Maybe they were planning their fall fish frys that they run as a fundraiser or perhaps there were out on a call. I have to admit I didn't check to see if the trucks were there or not as I drove by the other side.

Daily Shoot 9
Make a photograph with either a 9 or 6 (components of today's date) in it represented in some way and post it today.
Today was the first day of school for the students. Of course that means new shoes and backpacks for most of the kids in our district. If you look closely you'll see 9 shoes in this pictures.
September 7 First Day of School
Today was the first day of school for the students. I love the laces on these shoes. It looks like something my daughter would do.

September 6 Homegrown Corn
Well, we should have been eating this corn last week. It looks good but it doesn't taste so good because it's a little overgrown and is now tough. I'm hoping to find some ears that still might be ok tomorrow.
September 5 Bridge
I didn't get many shots today that I was really pleased with, oh well. I did try taking some from different angles. I laid down on the bridge for this one. I like how the bridge frames the shot but I don't like how the stream is centered. There's always so much to think about!
Daily Shoot Cheery
Welcome the new week (and holiday in the US) by making a bright cheery photo outdoors and posting it today.
Despite being a gloomy day this newly opened sunflower offered something bright and cheery!
Daily Shoot Hands
A person's hands can tell a story. Take a picture of someone's hands today. (@houkazan)
This is my husband's holding onto the beautiful steering wheel of his prize possession; his '82 two tone blue Corvette. With his own hands he has done much of the restoration work. He drives his car frequently-to work, to the store, on trips and as often as possible to cruise-ins and car shows. He loves to show it off and he loves looking at other cars as well. I like the way the late afternoon sun is hitting his had and steering wheel as we made our way home from a car show at Fillmore State Park.
Daily Shoot Water and Color
Water sustains life. Color enhances life. Make a photo today combining color and water. (@jeffm211)
Catching up on the Daily Shoots. This is at the swimming hole at the Fillmore State Park. We were there for a car show. Of course I wandered off looking for something other than cars to shoot. The temperature had dropped dramatically the past two days so the swimming hole was empty.
Daily Shoot Cherish
Make a photograph of one of the least expensive things that you cherish. (adapted from suggestion by @heidi)
The day of this assignment I couldn't decide what to shoot. Today I decided on this quilt. My mother in law made this quilt for our son 22 years ago. She made two additional quilts for him and 2 for our daughter. I cherish them all for the countless hours and love she put into making these special pieces. They were all well used but are still in good shape. I look forward to the day I can hand these down to my grandchildren.
Daily Shoot Monochrome
Make a monochromoe photograph today. Either use a single color subject/background or make it monochrome in post.
I totally missed this assignment but when I looked at the date I realized why, it had been my first day back to school. Guess I had other things on my mind that day!

September 3 All Done
It was another hot humid day. This afternoon I could hear the blue jays calling so I headed out to try and get a picture of them. I did and I I shot a few of this little thief as well. Fun capture of him spitting out the empty peanut shell.

Daily Shoot Ugly
Make a beautiful photograph of something commonly thought of as ugly. (@divadeb88)
This is the top of an onion plant in our garden.
September 2 Dried Flower
I was feeling a little stressed after work today. So as soon as I got home I grabbed my camera and headed out to look for something ugly for the Daily Shoot assignment. By the time I finished taking some shots I was feeling much more relaxed.
Lady Antebellum at the NY State Fair
Right after school my husband and I headed to the state fair. We both considered taking our cameras but decided since it was about 90 degrees and record crowds were expected that we would just leave them home. It was the right decision. We've been going to the fair for over 20 years. I actually went twice this year. I went last Friday with my daughter. She wanted to stop on her way to college to get some of her favorite fair foods. Many times we've gone to concerts-free and paid. Tonight my husband wanted to see Lady Antebellum, she was the free concert. We wandered through the buildings and exhibits but it was harder to enjoy them due to the heat. We had our maple snow cone and ice cream and wine slushy. Our favorite bar b q place was too busy so we missed that this year. By 5 o'clock all the seats for the concert were filled. We wandered over about 8 and as you can see the crowd was huge! We listened to a few songs and then decided to head out to beat the crowds since there was another paid concert as well-Justin Bieber. I had never heard of him but obviously a big hit with the young girls by the looks of all the t-shirts on the girls 5 and up. I was thankful that we are past that stage with our kids. :-) Now, with our fair trip done it feels like summer is over-except for the weather.
Second night in a row for a camera phone picture-ick!
