When our kids turned 16 they both got a car. Nothing fancy, just an old clunker. My husband is very handy when it comes to fixing things and taking care of cars. He tries to pass on this knowledge to the kids. Having the older cars makes it easier. It’s nice to see our daughter having an interest in learning how to care for her car. Today they worked on changing the oil and fixing the water pump.
