This little rack is another treasure from my Aunt Bettie. It hung in her kitchen under a window by the table. It was easy to sit and admire the old cutters. It is now hanging above my kitchen doorway. My favorite cutter is the Mickey Mouse and I wish I had asked questions about it. It has an old style look to it but is so shiny I'm not sure at all of its age. I have collected many cookie cutters over the years. Fortunately, sugar cookies are one of my families favorite cookies so they do get put to use.

It's a beautiful rack. I love antiques, but they are even better when they have meaning.
ReplyDeleteI too love antiques and most that we own are from family which does make them extra special. I just wish I had an old home to display them in but have to make due with our small ranch instead.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love REAL heritage like this. I don't have many items that have been passed down through our family, so I find them deliciously appealing as a collection. Great photo.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely photo - and a lovely story to go with it.
ReplyDeleteHavig the cutters out encourages you to use them and they look so pretty. Great shot.
